DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver skyline is well known for its share of unique buildings. Who else can boast a 700-foot cash register? But at the corner of 40th and Blake, a new building is looking to take the title of Denver's most unique.One River North is not your ordinary apartment complex, with a canyon-like structure filled with trees and shrubs, and a moving river is built into the building itself."We say we are where nature and city take form," said Elizabeth Meyers, vice president of client experience for Kairoi Residential, which manages the property.She said 14 of the 187 units have already been rented, without a single tenant setting foot in the building that remains under construction.“The overall interest in this community is second to none in my entire career," Meyers said. Detectives shut down part of a Miami neighborhood for hours after, they said, shots were fired at a police cruiser following an armed robbery at a nearby restaurant.City of Miami Police units responded to Swan Restaurant, located near Northeast 39th Street and First Avenue, Friday evening.The robbery is believed to have taken place at a valet stand outside of the restaurant, at around 5:30 p.m.A maître d’ at the restaurant told 7News that he witnessed the robbery.Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Officers set up a large perimeter just north of the Design District, between 36th and 46th streets.Officers were seen checking cars and asking drivers and passers-by for IDs. One person was taken to the hospital after, police said, shots rang out at an apartment complex in Sweetwater.Sweetwater Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the shooting at the 7 West Apartment Homes along the 11200 block of Northwest Seventh Street, late Friday afternoon.Neighbors heard police arriving at the scene at around 5:45 p.m.7News cameras captured an active scene, as part of the complex was cordoned off with crime scene tape and detectives were seen talking to people at the complex.Investigators confirmed the victim was taken to an area hospital where they are listed in stable condition, but have not disclosed the victim’s age or gender.Officers blocked off Northwest Seventh Street near the complex, but they reopened the roadway at around 7 p.m.Police have not provided information about a possible shooter or whether there is one in custody, as they continue to investigate.Please check back on WSVN.com and 7News for more details on this d...To save the climate, change the game for petrostates

Strike action at the province’s public elementary schools has been taken off the table.Members of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) voted 90 per cent in favour of accepting the central agreement with the Ford government.The term of the four-year central agreement is from Sept. 1, 2022, to Aug. 31, 2026. Ratification from the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) is required for the agreement to take effect, and their vote is scheduled for next week. Ontario’s police watchdog has been notified after three men robbed a store, fled in a vehicle and became involved in an interaction with a responding Toronto police officer.Authorities reported a robbery in the Sheppard Avenue East and Kennedy Road area at around 5:15 p.m. on Friday.Toronto police said three men robbed a store and fled in a vehicle, which was located in the Plunkett Road and Millwick Drive area in North York.It’s alleged that the suspects’ vehicle rammed into a police cruiser, leading to an officer discharging their firearm. CHICAGO — A mother says she is outraged after her young daughter had to walk for miles after she was left inside a daycare transportation van.Police say the daycare employee who drove the van is now facing charges and an investigation is underway.
