(KRON) -- Continuing what has been a summer full of protests, Oakland A's fans have organized another "reverse boycott" for the San Francisco Giants' game in Oakland on Aug. 5. If you're planning to go, be prepared to pay more than usual. For the Aug. 5 "reverse boycott" game, the cheapest seat on the team website is going for $44. For the Aug. 6 game against the Giants, the get-in price is $27. The price for all other games, including Labor Day against Toronto and the final home game of the season against Detroit, is $10. The A's say game tickets are "automatically dynamically priced based on available inventory" and the prices were not increased manually. The team has sold more than 30,000 tickets for the Aug. 5 game. A few years ago, as her kids got older, Mary Campbell and her family settled in Northern Virginia. They’re a military family, but once they arrived, there was no longer the need for her to unpack, prepare for a new move or help her kids get settled in a new community. On a website about what parents do in their free time, Campbell read one mom’s message about baking cakes for foster children. She wanted to do the same, but eventually learned the mom was based in California. So, Campbell contacted organizers and launched a local chapter of Cake4Kids, a national organization that says it makes free, custom birthday cakes for kids across the country who otherwise may not have them. Now, Campbell has partnered with over 700 volunteers in Northern Virginia who she called “heroes.” The group has baked about 2,000 cakes in the last year.FFX Now first reported Campbell’s efforts with the local Cake4Kids chapter.“The thought of a child not having a cake for ...Copa Mundial 2023: Panamá vs. Jamaica; aquí todos los detalles

DENVER (KDVR) — July showers continue to limit drought concerns across Colorado. After wrapping up the fourth wettest May and the wettest June on record, the Denver area continued to pick up more showers in July. Eighteen out of the last 28 days, rainfall has been measured at Denver International Airport. Most of these days have only picked up less than a quarter of an inch of rainfall, but the near-daily chance for afternoon showers has helped to keep drought concerns low across the state. On May 4, the Denver area was under abnormally dry conditions, with severe drought conditions near Colorado Springs, and extreme to exceptional drought conditions in the far southeast corner of the state.July 1's drought monitor update revealed that Denver was cleared from abnormally dry conditions, and only about 6% of Colorado remained under moderate, severe or extreme drought.
